چکیده

We develop a new method to automatically prove security statements in the Generic Group Model as they occur in actual papers. We start by defining (i) a general language to describe security definitions, (ii) a class of logical formulas that characterize how an adversary can win, and (iii) a translation from security definitions to such formulas. We prove a Master Theorem that relates the security of the construction to the existence of a solution for the associated logical formulas. Moreover, we define a constraint solving algorithm that proves the security of a construction by proving the absence of solutions. We implement our approach in a fully automated tool, the gga∞ tool, and use it to verify different examples from the literature. The results improve on the tool by Barthe et al. (CRYPTO’14, PKC’15): for many constructions, gga∞ succeeds in proving standard (unbounded) security, whereas Barthe’s tool is only able to prove security for a small number of oracle queries.

Cost Function Modelling for Semi-automated SC, RTG and Automated and Semi-automated RMG Container Yard Operating Systems

This study analyses the concept of cost functions for semi-automated Straddle Carrier (SC), Rubber Tyred Gantry (RTG) and automated Rail Mounted Gantry (RMG) container yard operating cranes. It develops a generic cost based model for a pair-wise comparison, analysis and evaluation of economic efficiency and effectiveness of container yard equipment to be used for decision-making by terminal pla...

Convertible limited (multi-) verifier signature: new constructions and applications

A convertible limited (multi-) verifier signature (CL(M)VS) provides controlled verifiability and preserves the privacy of the signer. Furthermore, limited verifier(s) can designate the signature to a third party or convert it into a publicly verifiable signature upon necessity. In this proposal, we first present a generic construction of convertible limited verifier signature (CLVS) into which...

Secure Bio-Cryptographic Authentication System for Cardless Automated Teller Machines

Security is a vital issue in the usage of Automated Teller Machine (ATM) for cash, cashless and many off the counter banking transactions. Weaknesses in the use of ATM machine could not only lead to loss of customer’s data confidentiality and integrity but also breach in the verification of user’s authentication. Several challenges are associated with the use of ATM smart card such as: card clo...

Signing on Elements in Bilinear Groups for Modular Protocol Design

A signature scheme is called structure-preserving if its verification keys, messages, and sig-natures are group elements and the verification predicate is a conjunction of pairing productequations. We answer to the open problem of constructing a constant-size structure-preservingsignature scheme. The security is proven in the standard model based on a novel non-interactiveas...

Automated Cryptographic Analysis of the Pedersen Commitment Scheme

Aiming for strong security assurance, recently there has been an increasing interest in formal verification of cryptographic constructions. This paper presents a mechanised formal verification of the popular Pedersen commitment protocol, proving its security properties of correctness, perfect hiding, and computational binding. To formally verify the protocol, we extended the theory of EasyCrypt...
